Release: A Mixed Media Workshop

Mixed Media • Expressive Arts
3 Hours for Adults

Release is an expressive mixed-media workshop exploring the creative process as a way to reflect, experiment, and let go.

Participants began with guided self-inquiry to identify something they were ready to release, followed by expressive arts warm-ups and small exploratory pieces focused on color, shape, composition, and materials.

Using acrylic paint, magazine imagery, fabric, handmade papers, and other collage materials, participants then created a final mixed-media piece expressing their individual intention.

The workshop concluded with a ceremonial fire, where participants burned their finished artwork as an act of release.

Altar Art: Intuitive Mixed Media

Intuitive Art • Mixed Media • Acrylic Painting
4 Hours • Adults

Altar Art was an intuitive mixed-media workshop exploring creativity as an act of devotion. Participants were invited to move beyond focusing on the finished product and instead approach art-making through curiosity, emotional expression, and connection to what felt meaningful to them.

Through guided prompts and expressive art exercises, participants experimented with acrylic paint, markers, fabric, paper, color, and composition. They created small exploratory pieces before identifying a word or phrase representing what they felt devoted to.

Participants then created a final Altar Art piece on canvas, intuitively combining materials, imagery, and their chosen intention. The workshop concluded by viewing the completed pieces together and witnessing one another’s creative expression.

“I felt free to express myself through art, using the abundance of mediums provided...I was surprised at what came out of the art and left feeling grounded, peaceful and with an inner stillness.”
— C.M., Altar Art Participant
“I throughly enjoyed this! I could have worked on my spellbook another 2+ hours. Thanks for the fun, intentional kick off to summer. ”
— Melanie, participant at Solstice Spellbooks

Solstice Spellbook: Altered Book Art Journal

Altered Books • Art Journaling • Mixed Media
3 Hours for Adults

Solstice Spellbook was a mixed-media art journaling workshop exploring nourishment, abundance, intention, and personal transformation through altered-book art.

Participants began with guided journaling prompts exploring where they wanted to feel more nourished and abundant in their lives, what they were ready to release, and what habits or patterns they wanted to change. They distilled their reflections into a single word or short phrase and transformed that intention into a personal sigil which they used to create art.

Participants also selected tarot and/or oracle cards as creative prompts and incorporated the imagery into mixed-media journal pages using acrylic and metallic markers, magazine imagery, old book pages, and collage.

The workshop concluded with participants designing and embellishing the covers of their altered-book spellbooks, creating a personal art journal they could continue working in after the workshop.

Embodiment Doll: Fiery Femme

Mixed Media • Nature-Based Art • Doll Making
3 Hours • Adults

Inspired by fiery femme qualities, participants created an embodiment doll representing qualities they wanted to cultivate within themselves, such as creativity, confidence, passion, playfulness, authentic self-expression, and the courage to be seen.

The workshop began with an exploration of the Fiery Femme archetype and guided journaling around participants’ perceptions of fiery women, the qualities they already embodied, and those they wanted to express more fully.

Participants then created their own Fiery Femme dolls using locally gathered natural materials such as sticks, dried flowers, and leaves. Each doll became a personal representation of the qualities and expression they wished to embody.

“Every single gathering has been deeply nourishing. Her events are always centered around genuine self care, connection and intention, and you can truly feel the love she pours into every detail.”
— Buffy, workshop participant
