Solstice Spellbooks
at Aurora House ATX
Sunday, June 21 from 4:00-6:00pm
Transform an old book into an expressive art spellbook for the Solstice.
An evening of intuitive spellbook making inspired by art as ritual, altered books, the Summer Solstice, and creative expression.
The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year and is a seasonal threshold connected to illumination, vitality, abundance, creativity, and the fullness of life.
Together we’ll transform old books into personal spellbooks through mixed-media art making, intuitive prompts, poetry, sigils, tarot, ancestral honoring, shadow work, and astrological attunement.
This is not about making “perfect art.”
It’s about creating meaningful pages infused with intention, symbolism, memory, intuition, and becoming.
The evening includes guidance through creative prompts designed to help you drop in, connect intuitively, and explore art as ritual. Then plenty of time to open creative time to add to what was prompted or create something entirely new.
Participants are encouraged to bring:
• an old book to transform (we will also have one for you)
• meaningful quotes or writings
• personal photos or copied images
• pressed flowers
• recipes, remedies, symbols, or scraps with personal meaning
Additional art supplies and materials will be provided.
No art experience needed.
